Subject: California: War Syndrome

Last Thursday, I drove to Los Angeles to address the Granada Forum Group. After an exhausting 8 hour drive from Phoenix, it was nice to get away from a week of watching a pro-10th amendment governor get railroaded by the feds, and watching federal informants disguised as bounty hunters go on a killing spree.

I looked forward to driving to LA. The previous times in that city was only my view from LAX.

I should first say that I am not picking on the good people of California. I enjoyed the warm hospitality I received from all (especially the patriots). Got to give 'em credit - Most are experts at "combat driving". Most of the folks in California are good hearted, law-abiding citizens. However there were certain social-political behaviors I saw that perhaps only an constitutional outsider (or a war historian) might pick-up on. But I digress...

This time, I grabbed a hotel, and turned on the local news to see what was happening around the city of Angles before my 7:30 presentation about the first and second amendments. It didn't take long to see that in California, there's no need to discuss the Second amendment or the coming NWO. California is already a police state.

The news started with a scene of about 20 or so black suited masked officers of the LAPD. They had surrounded a trailer in which it's owner fired on police when they tried to knock on his door. The news report said that the owner died, although they weren't sure rather the fatal wound was self-inflicted or not. They said they only fired tear gas inside, and he wouldn't come out. Go figure.

Here's where it gets interesting.

The next day I saw a truck with two LAPD cruisers driving in tow, heading south on I-405 with the burned out shell of the same trailer. (I'm sure of it). Funny, it wasn't burning on live TV the day before when the job was done. Oh well...

The next story on the same news program was about another man that was surrounded by about 40 black suited masked warriors from LAPD. This man allegedly shot another officer back in July, and they had just found him.

What's interesting is that I learned that this is a daily occurrence in the Southern California area. The news reported that there were over 1500 attacks on law enforcement last year in LA county alone (Some in LA say that might be an exaggeration). There isn't an accurate count on how many citizens are shot by police. I asked around. Nobody keeps track of those numbers, but they assured me that it happens daily. I wondered how many shootings just don't make the news?

There was also another story (on the same news program) with black suited warriors at a school. Too many students had peacefully gathered in one place waiting for a bus. I hear the "right to peaceably assemble" is under scrutiny in certain neighborhoods of LA.

Estimates are that there are between 7500 and 10,000 police in LA county. If 1500 were attacked in one year, then it's easy to say that the LAPD are under fire (per capita) more than the U.S. Military. And we can also safely assume that the LAPD has killed more people this year than the U.S. Military.

Also, on that same news program, a reporter stated that experts believe that the alarming number of attacks against law enforcement are due in part to the "three strikes and you're out law" in California. They stated that many people feel that went confronted by police, that feel they have *no other choice* but to shoot. That's an important statement.

When nations or people go to war, it's usually because they feel they have *no other choice*. They run out of political options. There are other indications that lead me to believe the California (at least the southern portion) is in a state of overt war today. I will list a few of them.

1. Lack of Justice and Due Process. As I heard from people who said that there is no justice in the system, I heard police say that the courts are too weak by letting criminals back on the streets to soon. The courts say there isn't enough room for all the inmates, while the local and state governments make more laws.

The Judicial system is falling apart, and is trusted by neither side. The government in LA has become nothing more than a revenue collecting, killing machine. They admit it, and everyone knows it.

2. Heavy surveillance. The number of cameras on LA freeways make Atlanta and Washington D.C. look like a Libertarian Paradise. There are also a number of citizen review boards, i.e. people watching government.

3. Heavy casualties. See above, or just watch the news.

4. Living outside the law. An overbearing amount of government regulations have force many good Californians to even operate outside ordinary traffic laws, accepting the fact that they may be thrown in jail at any moment and have the possessions seized just for driving to work. They have to take these chances just to survive. These "survivalists" fall on both sides on the political fence.

5. No faith in the electoral process. To many people have seen many of their elections tossed out by federal courts. Few people actually trust any of their politicians, or any branch of government (even if they work in government). I heard that from both sides, and even from police.

6. Political Refugees. This is one of the most telling signs of war. Here in Los Vegas, we receive over 5000 new residents per month. Most are from Southern California. On my trip up I-15 from San Bernadino, I counted a total of 5 Nevada license plates on the highway, including my own. That's unprecedented for a 250 mile trip. While in Arizona, I talked to many medical employees who also credited Phoenix's jump in population to the exodus of Southern California. The same has been reported in Utah, Idaho, Montana, Washington and Wyoming.

7. Weapons from Outside Sources. When I left the Vegas gun show today, I noticed that most of the licenses plate of customers were from Ca. Meanwhile, the LA police have become almost totally supplied by military sources. New recruits receive "para-military" training. The increase of military hardware doesn't not make "crime fighting" easier, but make the "criminals" more aggressive. That statement came from a police captain on a radio talk show.

These behaviors are indicative of a war in progress.

I'm not just referring to the patriots of Ca. I received this information from listening to talk shows, watching the news, and stopping in stores in various parts of the area. It's actually hard to tell what the official language is there. People seen to have adjusted to this "dis-function" of society. Both sides, both public and private citizens seem fearful of each other, and accept the fact that armed confrontation may occur at any time. Perhaps there never was a riot back in 92, but a flare-up of the ongoing war that just happened to make the national news.

The most interesting pattern that I saw was that the LA area is not segregated by race or gender, nor it's is stricken with the type of gang violence as you would expect. It is separated by geography, physical, social and political. Each group has carved out their own "turf". The gangs aren't just the Crips and Bloods, but local governments themselves are at war with one another for state and federal tax dollars.

As I have been blessed to be able to travel to many cities in the country, I understand that these situations are common in other parts of the country. But not the mass exodus, due in part to fear, the open hostility toward government, and vise-versa. I saw a fear in the Southern Ca residents that I had not seen before. It's defined as "war syndrome".

Those contemplating or preparing to fight aganist a police state can easily get battle tested field experience by visiting Los Angeles and taking notes.

Unfortunately, many in California may not realize the seriousness of this problem until the next U.S. Census, when California finds out that it will lose several congressional seats, due to a major reduction in population. It will be then when they understand that the only winners of this war...

...will be the ones who escaped.
