Yesterday, was the fiftieth year of NATO and the two hundred and
fiftieth year of Senator Strom Thurmond's term in the U.S. congress.
Both have long ago outwore their time and usefulness.

I choose old Strom, from the multitude of scabrous hypocrites who
spoke in Washington at this gala affair, because of his ridiculous
history of endless, disingenuous, role-playing and metamorphosis
into the old darling he is today.

Of course, the biographer who will write the life and times of
Senator Thurmond will call his transmutations, from what he was
to what he has become, a fine example of the progress of a 'new
South' man. And the 'chosen' so-called historians who write the
history of NATO will, also and predictably, glorify its latest
transformation.

"Our niggers is better off than most anybody's niggers,
why, they got washing machines and some of'um even
got televisions. I can't understand why they complaining."

For years, the above Thurmond quote was played and replayed every
time he exhibited any resistance to the social engineers and their
socialist machinations, but alas, old Strom modified, altered, shifted
and conformed, until he became a menace, not only to Blacks, but
to Blacks and Whites alike.

Strom and NATO have much in common. Lots of folks were hurt as Strom's
silly political positions vacillated from one extreme to the other,
likewise NATO's new role has already left thousands bleeding and
dying while poltroonish politicians from around the world search for
its new identity.

An aging NATO, a NATO whose reason for existing has disappeared,
a NATO transformed from protector to serial killer should, no must, be
disbanded and replaced with a sane organization controlled by well
defined limitations and clear objectives. We must take this weapon,
NATO, from the sullied hands of those who rule this evil world.

Caution;
Perhaps, you should not listen to this humble writer; I've had some
problems, lately. Yes, I'm having extreme difficulty differentiating
between Bill Clinton and Timothy McVeigh; it must be all those buildings
with body parts imbedded in the rubble. Then there is Maddy Albright,
who has become confused, in me mind, with this creature having Lola
Potak's face and Anna Parker's hips.

                                                  Jim Floyd

You will hear from me, again, after the funerals, after the precious
children of Littleton are committed to the arms of God, and after my
heart heals enough to write about them. --J.F.
